Create Products

What is a Product?

The Product is a compost pile, windrow, batch or mix. Products are the center of your production and at the core of all process management actions.

How do I create a Product?

Click on the "Create Product" button, always located on the upper right corner of the screen, and complete the form.

If your account does not have a Product created, you will be invited to create a Product to begin.

The Product Form

  1. Name

    • Must be unique

    • Field pre-populated with Organization Name followed by current stamp of year, month, day, hour, minute, seconds

  2. Intake Date/Time

    • Product start timestamp: Year, month, date, hour, minute

  3. Processing Method

    • Pre-populated with Organization Default Method setting

      • If the setting is No Default, then the user must select the method

    • Sets the processing Method for the Product

  4. No. Measurement Positions

    • Pre-populated with Organization Default No. of Measurement Positions

      • If the setting is No Default, then the user must select

    • Sets the number of Measurement Positions for the Product

  5. Description

    • Text description required

    • Pre-populated text description and can be updated at any time

      • "Created by [First] [Last] for [Organization Name]."

  6. Process Status

    • Preset to Active, switch to Complete when a Product meets completeness metrics which activates finishing fields available:

      • Outturn Date/Time

        • Product finish timestamp: Year, month, date, hour, minute

      • Product Consumer

        • Consumer of finished Product

  7. PFRP Met

    • Preset to Not Met, switch to Met when Product meets PFRP metrics

Product Location

Once a Product has been created, it can then be assigned to a physical Location, or Site.

Sites are managed by the Primary User in Settings.

Click "Update Product" and then click on the Location tab.

Set Location

Select a Location (or Site) and set the date and time in which the Product was placed at the location, then click on the "Set Location" button.

Your location is now included in the Location History.

Remove Location

When a Product is currently set to a Location you can remove it from the location by selecting the date and time of its removal and then click on the "Remove Location" button.

Delete Location

Location records can be deleted from the Location History list by clicking onaction icon. This action cannot be reversed.
